"Damien Salançon's music, while playing with the genre's tradition,
is hitting all the right notes."

Damien Salançon started music at the age of 10. He took piano lessons, oboe, guitar and drums. He chose early on to focus on the composition and at 18, he entered BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC (Boston, USA) and later on graduated in Film Scoring.

He then returned to France and moving to Paris, started to compose songs for his pop-rock Bands. This led to a concept Album ANOTHER DAY IN PARIS in which he tried to mix his Jazz and Rock influences in a very cinematic Style.

He also starts to write music for short movies and earned a few awards ( SIRAR laureate, ÉMERGENCE summer house member). He composed a few comercials for International Brands: MERCEDES, L’OREAL, MC DONALD’S, and more recently DISNEYLAND PARIS 20th ANNIVERSARY EUROPEAN CAMPAIGN. At the same time he starts a fruitful collaboration with other composers, arranging musics for numerous TV Series:  ENGRENAGES, LE SANG DE LA VIGNE, CHERIF, ALICE NEVERS, INQUISITIO…These commisions led him to record with such orchestras as Hungarian Radio Orchestra, Scoring Orchestra, or Fame’s Project.

In 2013 He composed the soundtrack for the TV Movie LES MAUVAISES TÊTES dir. by Pierre Isoard, with the French singer CAMELIA JORDANA. He then co-composed parts of the musics for the Feature Film PRÊT A TOUT dir. by Nicolas Cuche with comedian-singer Max Boublil and Aïssa Maiga.

He still continues to hit the road of the record industry. In 2014 he wrote string arrangements for French singer July Zenatti on her Album “Blanc”, and in 2016  he wrote string arrangements for Jenifer on her album “Paradis Secret”, and Emmanuel DaSilva’s 2017 upcoming album.

In 2016 he’s also been working extensively on Feature Film, Arranging and Orchestrating musics on  “C’EST QUOI CETTE FAMILLE dir. by Gabriel Julien-Laferrière with Julie Gayet, LE PETIT LOCATAIRE dir. by Nadège Loiseau with Karine Viard, and UN CONTE INDIEN dir. by Hector Cabello Reyes with Benoit Poelvoorde.
